Revolutionizing Protein Purification
Revolutionizing Protein Purification
Rice naturally produces 50,000 different types of protein. With a little help, it can easily produce one more, and that can be designed to suit your needs. We take advantage of the natural factories inside of each grain of rice!
Rice has been used as a bio reactor, to produce recombinant proteins for some time. As one of the most understood and studied crops in the world, rice is a natural candidate for large-scale protein production.
Transformed rice is a stable feature of the biotechnology landscape. In fact, Illimar Altosaar, Founder of Proteins Easy led the first team to express recombinant protein in rice in 1997.
Our technology uses rice as a novel bio reactor. Once PECrice is harvested, the dry extraction of your target protein can be harvested at your convenience. Proteins Easy aims to make complex purification schemes, and their related solvents, aqueous buffers, and purification columns virtually obsolete.
